Pets Need Constant Downloading

I purchased the group of pets years ago and this app has never worked properly. Most pets need to be constantly downloaded. Of the 18 pets, maybe 7-8 work for a time. Today I spent hours (about 4-5) downloading each pet. When I finally had all of them downloaded, I went to check my email. I reopened this app and discovered all of my hard work was for naught. The ten pets I downloaded were no longer available. Not sure what to do because every time my niece plays games on my phone, she wants to play Palace Pets. I assure her that I will download the pets, but it’s so frustrating because I don’t want to spend another 4 hours working for nothing.
